Quick answer

ISP proxies are static and usually sold per IP. Residential proxies rotate and are sold per GB. For UK IPs priced in pounds, Icey ISPs sells UK ISP from £15.00 per 10 a month. Byteful lists UK static ISP from $3.50 per IP. For residential bandwidth, prices run from €1.00/GB + VAT (Byte Proxies Basic) up to $7.00/GB (IPRoyal, 1 GB). Checked 19 Oct 2026.

Proxies are mostly used with bots that may breach retailer terms. Orders can be cancelled and accounts banned. Use at your own risk. Read the risk note

Do you need proxies for a bot?

If you run more than a task or two, most bot vendors expect you to. NSB, for example, lists "proxies for most stores" as a requirement, and Stellar's task setup asks you to assign profiles and proxies. A proxy sends each task's traffic through a different IP address, so a retailer doesn't see all your tasks coming from your home connection.

If you buy by hand, or with a single task, you probably don't need them. Proxies don't make a bot faster or guarantee a checkout, and none of the providers below can promise that either.

ISP vs residential vs datacenter vs mobile

ISP (static residential)

Per IP, per period

A fixed IP registered to an internet provider. You keep the same address for the period you buy, often 30 days. Commonly used for retail and sneaker sites.

Residential (rotating)

Per GB of traffic

Traffic routed through a large pool of home connections, rotating or "sticky". You pay for data used. Some providers say unused traffic never expires.

Datacenter

Per IP, per period

IPs hosted in data centres rather than homes. Often the cheapest per IP; we haven't tested how retailers treat them.

Mobile

Per GB

Traffic through 3G/4G/5G carrier IPs. Usually the most expensive per GB.

ISP or residential: what the difference means in practice

What you're paying for. With ISP proxies you rent a set number of fixed addresses for a period, and you can use them as much as you like within it. With residential you buy data, and every page load and checkout attempt uses some of it. So ISP cost depends on how many IPs you run at once and for how long. Residential cost depends on how much traffic your bot sends.

How the providers here price each (as shown on 19 Oct 2026):

  • Icey ISPs: UK ISP £15.00 per 10 IPs a month, which works out at £1.50 per IP. Residential from £1.25/GB.
  • Byteful: ISP from $3.50 per IP; residential from $1.75/GB. The FAQ on its pricing page explains paying per IP (ISP) against paying per GB (residential), and says "we do not currently offer a free trial… you can place a small order, such as purchasing a single IP or 1GB".
  • Immaculate Proxies: ISP from $1.70 a month; residential from $2/GB with no expiration.
  • IPRoyal: ISP from $1.80 per proxy, with the price depending on plan length. Residential $7.00/GB for 1 GB, falling to $1.75/GB only from 10 TB.
  • Byte Proxies: residential €1.00 or €3.00/GB + VAT; ISP offered, but no price on its homepage.

"From" prices are the cheapest quantity or location each vendor shows, so the UK option may cost more. Check the UK plan specifically.

Static vs rotating. An ISP proxy keeps one address for the whole period. That suits sites where you stay logged in to an account, because the address doesn't change mid-session. Residential pools rotate between home connections, or hold one for a while ("sticky"). That spreads requests across many addresses. Which works better on a given retailer is something we haven't tested, and vendors' "works on" claims are their own.

Expiry. ISP and datacenter plans run for a fixed term: 30 days at Icey, or 24 hours to 90 days at IPRoyal. Unused time is lost when the term ends. Residential data may not expire at all: IPRoyal and Immaculate say theirs doesn't. If you only bot occasional drops, that difference matters more than the headline price.

IPRoyal

Proxies

IPRoyal is a global provider without a UK focus. Its pricing overview shows headline "from" prices of $1.80 per ISP proxy and $1.39 per datacenter proxy. The per-proxy price on each plan page depends on how long you buy for (24 hours to 90 days for ISP), so the figure you pay can be higher, such as $2.55 on the 60-day ISP plan. The residential "$1.75/GB" applies only to custom plans from 10 TB. At small volumes it's $5.25 to $7.00/GB. Its pricing page also shows a second, slightly higher set of residential prices ($7.35 to $5.51/GB), so check which applies at checkout.

Headline prices
Residential from $1.75/GB; ISP from $1.80/proxy; datacenter from $1.39/proxy

How to compare proxy prices fairly

  • Match the unit. Per GB (residential, mobile) and per IP (ISP, datacenter) can't be compared directly. Icey quotes "per 10", so £15.00 per 10 is £1.50 per IP a month.
  • Check the period. ISP and DC plans often expire after 30 days (Icey) or come in 24-hour to 90-day terms (IPRoyal). Residential traffic may never expire (IPRoyal, Immaculate).
  • Read "from" carefully. The lowest headline price often needs a large order. IPRoyal's $1.75/GB starts at 10 TB.
  • Currency and VAT. Byte Proxies adds VAT. Dollar and euro prices may carry card conversion fees.
  • Location. Make sure the plan you buy is UK. A provider's "from" price may be for another country.

Proxies for Pokémon Center UK

Pokémon Center UK only ships to UK addresses, and many botters use UK IPs for it. Immaculate Proxies says it has a UK plan aimed at Pokémon Center, and Icey and Byteful sell UK ISP proxies. Proxies don't change Pokémon Center's purchase limits, which can count per account, card, person or household. See bots for Pokémon Center UK and HiddenAIO vs Stellar AIO. For sneakers, see sneaker bots UK.

Risks

Retailers can cancel orders and close accounts that they think used bots or broke purchase limits, whatever proxy you use. Banks may also flag many quick payments from different IPs. Several vendor claims, such as "unbanned on most sites" and "working on all sites", are the providers' own, and we haven't tested them. Buy small first, and use at your own risk.

FAQs

What are the best UK proxies for bots?

We don't rank them, because we haven't tested speed or success rates. Of the providers we list, Icey ISPs sells UK ISP and UK datacenter proxies priced in pounds, Byteful lists UK static ISP proxies, and Immaculate Proxies sells ISP plans. Byte Proxies, IPRoyal and OneStop sell residential bandwidth by the GB.

What's the difference between ISP and residential proxies?

ISP proxies are static IP addresses registered to an internet provider, usually sold per IP for a set period (for example Icey's UK ISP at £15.00 per 10 a month). Residential proxies rotate through home connections and are usually sold per GB of traffic (for example OneStop from $6.00/GB at 1 to 50 GB, per its homepage calculator).

How many proxies do I need?

It depends on how many tasks you run. Several proxy sellers' guides suggest roughly one IP per task, but that's their rule of thumb, not something we've verified. Start small and check your bot's own setup guide.

Which UK proxy providers charge in pounds?

Icey ISPs prices in pounds: residential from £1.25/GB, UK ISP from £15.00 per 10 a month and UK datacenter from £12.50 per 10 a month (as shown on 19 Oct 2026). Byte Proxies prices in euros plus VAT. Byteful, Immaculate, IPRoyal and OneStop price in US dollars.

Are UK proxies legal?

Buying and using a proxy isn't in itself unlawful in the UK, but using proxies to get round a retailer's limits or rules can breach its terms and lead to cancelled orders or banned accounts. This isn't legal advice.

Do I need UK proxies for Pokémon Center UK?

Bot vendors generally expect proxies, and many use UK IPs for UK sites. Immaculate Proxies says it has a plan aimed at Pokémon Center UK. Proxies don't get round Pokémon Center's purchase limits, which can count per account, card, person or household.
